Cathy Hirko, the business editor at York Daily Record, will be at Bistro from 5:30-6pm to give our members a tutorial on how to get your thoughts and ideas published. We know for a fact that our members have plenty of thoughts and ideas... So you probably have some that you'd like to share with those who enjoy a good, crisp, morning paper over a Twitter feed. Show up at 5:30 on Tuesday and you'll find out just how to do that.
The new member meet-up will then begin at 6pm. New member meet-ups are casual events and we spend most of our time having conversation in a relatively small setting compared to YYP socials. This is a great chance to relax with some new friends and form relationships within the group. Normally everyone has a couple of drinks and a good percentage of the group orders dinner or apps. Feel free to do whatever suits your evening. We try to get separate checks if possible, but sometimes the group is just too big to make that a reality. Please remember your orders and don't forget to tip your servers. Also, several board and committee members will be among us so that any questions about YYP can be addressed and some tips and experiences can be discussed.
